Reconnect From Within

Meet Nancy

My spiritual journey began around my 40th birthday when I made a major decision to eliminate all medications from my life. It was December of 1999 and I was taking seven different medications for my asthma and realized that this was not the answer nor was it a way of life I desired to live any longer.

As I opened myself up to making a shift, Spirit presented me with an interesting and special woman who brought new spiritual information into my life. This new way of thinking was so vastly different from my Catholic upbringing. While I did not come from a very serious religious family, the conditioning that had taken place was still deeply imbedded within my unconscious mind. This programming left me with some very interesting and limiting belief systems that still present opportunities for releasing and healing.

My journey with energy healing sessions began with a focus on clearing my asthma. I remember that first day was filled with much apprehension, fear and curiosity. Off I went to a small healing center in Carefree, Arizona and go figure, I was hooked!

From that point onward, life moved very quickly as I studied the modality called QuantumPathic Energy Medicine. I took all the classes I possibly could take and assisted in teaching classes. Who knew that during these classes I would meet my future business partner and dearest friend – PJ.

As I continued to be open to new possibilities, I was guided by Spirit to expand in ways I could have not fathomed. I studied flower essences and became certified as a practitioner. In addition, I studied with Dr. Eric Pearl and became a Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection Practitioner. I was also consumed with reading any spiritual book I could get my hands on. I was a sponge for knowledge.

At the same time I was working on my MBA in marketing. The title to my thesis was ‘Spirituality in Business’; this became a crucial point in my life for growth. I told no one in my family or business colleagues what my thesis was about; I was going so far outside my box that I required time to adjust to the new person I was becoming. After my thesis presentation and grade, I emailed my 150-page document to my family with excitement and jitters. Initial comments were encouraging but then came the loud thud of silence. And that was okay!

Next came the books – The Disappearance of The Universe by Gary Renard and A Course In Miracles; I knew I had come home. I consider this my real spiritual beginning without end.

At the beginning of 2007, PJ and I joined together in our desire and love for sharing with others to form Reconnect from Within, Pathways to Wholeness and Well-Being. To round out our studies, we will be completing ministerial courses in A Course In Miracles by the beginning of 2008.

I am delighted and overjoyed to be able to share with you my loves and to provide you with various pathways for your own Spiritual Journey to inner peace.

The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence, which is your natural inheritance.

Meet PJ

As I began to think about what I would write I started with my one of my favorite words – intent. As I thought about my intent, I realized that my intention and desire is to share my story with you. In doing so I trust that I will touch your heart and raise your awareness to the many possibilities we have for expanding our thinking, healing our mind and dismantling our old thought patterns so that we might live the life we deserve. One filled with love, joy and peace. So what is my story? Like many, a major event occurred in my life that brought me to my knees. This is when I began to fathom the power of choice and consciousness. I had a choice to make, do I continue on this path and recreate the same experience using the same worn out tapes or do I begin to work on dismantling those old worn out messages and start fresh. Well I decided to go in and discover who PJ is and how I could reshape my world.

At that time I was a very successful executive. I was on the fast track. I got an undergraduate degree in Organizational Behavior and an Executive MBA from Boston University. I held very senior level positions with many large corporations and was always focused on the next move up. Although this was my focus I also had a strong desire to help people; and, therefore, spent much of my professional career in the field of Human Resources, organizational effectiveness, facilitation and training.

Stepping into what I use to call the ‘woo woo’ world from corporate was a bit frightening to me; however, the desire to change my life was much stronger and intuitively I knew this was the right thing to do. So, I began working with an amazing teacher in Scottsdale Arizona who works with individuals at the cellular level. I began releasing things I thought I had dealt with and resolved years ago. The power of that experience had such an impact on me that I decided to study under this teacher and became a facilitator of those teachings. I began to realize [real eyes] I desired to make a shift in my life.

Still working in the corporate arena I was on a business trip and spent a weekend at Lake Geneva. As I was walking around the Lake I spotted a bookstore. I walked in and started grabbing books. This was the first time I allowed spirit to guide me without me questioning or judging my actions. How liberating it felt to simply pick the books I was intuited to buy. An hour later I walked out with a shopping bag full of books – Louise Hay, Gary Zukav, Wayne Dyer…… I went back to my hotel room and proceeded to pour over all the delicious information and beautiful words found in these fabulous books.

As I continued to open myself up to new information and new ways of thinking, I continued to have amazing experiences. I was introduced to Eric Pearl in 2004 and became certified in Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection. And although this is a wonderful modality I still felt a sense of – what next? I searched and read many, many books on spirituality until one day The Disappearance of the Universe was dropped in my lap – literally. I thought to myself well that is an interesting title. Years ago I had placed a book order with Amazon and in my order came a blue book that looked like the Bible and it was titled A Course In Miracles. I thought to myself – I didn’t order that. What is this anyway? The book actually scared me and I put it aside and did not pull it out until about 4 years ago when I kept getting messages to read A Course In Miracles and then I remembered that I had a copy. I pulled the book out and had been a student off and on. To this day I still do not recall ordering that book – guess I have Spirit to thank. I am now an active student of the course and take the time to do my daily lessons. The Disappearance of the Universe played a significant role in getting me to a place where I could begin the course.

Of all that I have experienced on my spiritual path, this [A Course in Miracles] has had the most impact on my ability to wake up!! I now understand the term wake up more deeply. To wake up means to wake up from the dream. I have learned the power of practicing forgiveness and I consciously work on healing my ego mind each and every day.

To round out my studies I, along with Nancy, will be completing ministerial courses in A Course In Miracles by the beginning of 2008.
