Intuition – Whispers From Your Soul

Have you ever just known that you should do something? You don’t know why, just a feeling that you can’t ignore. It feels as if someone has placed a thought in your head or a sensation in your body. We call this intuition. At times it is difficult to follow our hunches, we are bombarded by outside influences and at times it isn’t easy to have faith in ourselves. However, the only person who really knows what is good for you is indeed YOU. No one else has your personal inner knowledge.

Inner knowledge, inner guidance, doesn’t shout in your ear as soon as you wake up in the morning and list all the things you should and shouldn’t do that day. Messages come like whispers in the wind, gently swirling around within your mind and body. We were all born into our lives with a support system, it is forever present whether we believe it or not. We have a support system from the beyond that helps and guides but does not rule, it does not control, it only suggests. The choices are ours. A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle and Oprah Discuss Being Versus Striving

During chapter 2 of the online discussion of A New Earth, Oprah and Eckhart Tolle discuss overcoming the ego in us.

Eckhart said, “In many cases the ego actually dislikes the present moment. So if you can make the present moment into the primary focal point of your life, then ego will very quickly diminish in you. Because it cannot survive the present moment.”

Undoubtedly being present is most pleasant, fun, and fulfilling. Our ego however is continually restless, conniving, and lusting for attention. It speaks incessantly, desiring to be heard, and recognized.

Eckhart mentioned, “People who are possessed by the ego live as if the present moment were their enemy. They’re stressed. They want to get somewhere else.” Read the rest of this entry »
