Breathing the Light

January 26th, 2010 . by admin

Breathing the Light!
By Erin Somers

Within your body you are full of energy. This energy together with the breath brings you to a place of love. This place of love dwells within you and when you breathe you will find it brings you peace. This is where your mind is still and you align with the Universal Oneness of life.

When you are in a state of depression and the pressures of life have brought you down these negative energies can pull you further away from experiencing a life of happiness. But once you find a moment and breathe. You bring your Self back to center aligning with the source.

Why not give it a try?

Sit in a comfortable position with your back supported. If you would prefer to lie down that is ok too, but not if you are tired because you may fall asleep. We are going to focus on the breath and to calm the mind. So, take the phone off the hook and make sure you will not be interrupted for about 15 minutes.

Take yourself into your breath with the diaphragm expanding (just under the ribcage). Nice easy slow breaths. With every breath visualize, inhaling a bright illuminating light and feel it move through you as you inhale. As you exhale imagine all the problems or frustrations leaving you and let the Universe disintegrates them like they never existed at all. Feel the light inside you expanding and radiating outwards with every breath. Now try to imagine the light inside you so bright that if you were sitting in front of you, you would have to squint or shut your eyes-it would be that bright.

Imagine the physical part (the body) of you gradually fading away and all that is left is this light; a light so bright it shines forever! Now take yourself into the light and breathe in its purity, feeling it heal every cell in your body. Keep breathing and feel the light getting brighter.

You can now just breathe in this wonderful wave of loving energy where you thoughts are renewed with the purity of your true Self. This will take you to a place where the Self feels no sadness or pain. In this stillness you will find the answers to the many questions you have and you will experience a bliss. Gradually open your eyes bringing yourself back to the spot you are sitting in and slowly move into your physical body. This is an amazing transformation to help you realize your true Self. I think it is a good idea to write down what you experience each time you do it..

It is great for Mind, Body and Soul… Quieting the mind, healing the body and listening to your soul.

I would really enjoy comments on how you are doing! Good luck!

If you have any concerns you can email me through the website. http://www.withinmehealing.com

Peace and Love,

Spiritual Healing: A Forgiveness Process
By Rev. Nancy Miiller O.M.C.

March 31st, 2009 . by admin

Toward the end of 2008 I ended up traveling for work for approximately six weeks. During that time I was able to spend many quiet hours studying course 901: Introduction to Miracles Practice. The experience was amazing and I felt I had reached a different level of connection with the Holy Spirit. I was overjoyed.

Shortly thereafter, I experience a deep fear and my ego mind was in full force. Many distractions occurred at the work place and I fell right into it. During that time I struggled with simple meditation, my mind was everywhere and anywhere. I picked up my regular reading to help me focus but to little avail.

Suddenly this past week, I was intensely drawn to read The Mentor Within by Mary Gerard. A spark finally occurred and I felt peace again. I was reading the struggle Mary wrote about, which I had been feeling over the past 4-5 weeks and felt relief as I read the beautiful words.

This weekend I was finally able to meditate and do my lesson in the Course. As I was connecting with the light within I heard, “You will write.” Presented next is what I received during this meditation with the Holy Spirit.

In truth we are Spirit.

In truth we are with God in Heaven.

In truth we are Oneness.

Seen through the eyes of the ego, we merely dream a world that is meaningless. Our dream is of failure, insecurity, sin and attack of God’s Holy Son. We dream a dream to hide our guilt, the guilt that we have left our Source and have attacked God.

We’ve created the world we see, not our loving Father. It was created as a place to project our fear, guilt and separation. God would not have made such an appalling place. Isn’t His Holy Son worthy of all God’s gifts? A Father truly love’s His Son, always and recognizes nothing else.

Forgiveness is our way home to the mind of God. Forgiveness sees no sin, for how can the Son of God be guilty if he is still home and has never left God? Forgiveness corrects our misguided perceptions and reveals truth, correcting our mind back to love; a miracle occurs provided by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit, the Voice for God works with us and provides true sight and this is the miracle. Miracles have no levels or importance of size.

Forgiveness is a process, unveiling the light within us all. Each moment is an opportunity to forgive, each moment of un-peacefulness is the clue. Each moment is a gift to go home.

The process is simple in form, but our willingness is clearly needed and our participation is a must.

Where does this lead? It leads you home, it leads to clarity of mind, it leads you to peace and love; our true nature.
Begin each day turning everything over to the Holy Spirit. Ask for guidance in words, thoughts and feelings. Ask only for loving thoughts and peace. Know in your heart the Holy Spirit is there for guidance, wisdom and truth. Ask to see and recognize all forgiveness opportunities as you feel peace healing your mind.

The forgiveness process begins with ownership of your creations in the illusion. Recognize you have created this person or situation to heal your mind. Recognize it is an illusion. Then realize it was created by your own unconscious guilt. Since we all have never left God, the separation has never happened and therefore we are all innocent. We are One in Christ, all is healed.

Forgiveness is for you, it is your dream and the result is peace of mind. As your mind is healed the veil of barriers are lifted and we have begun the process home; the pathway to enlightenment.

A Forgiveness Process:

I have created this illusion of (you/event/situation) out of my unconscious guilt.

Since we/I have not separated from God, we are/I am innocent and whole as the Holy Son of God.

I now choose the Holy Spirit in peace.

3 Tips for Spiritual Growth and Spiritual Healing

March 29th, 2009 . by admin

With all the chaos surrounding us in the world, in our country, in our communities and at times in our homes, it seems almost impossible to find our way spiritually. Yet this can be our most opportune time to say stop to the chaos and yes to inner peace.

Finding inner peace does not need to be an overwhelming process or journey. It is about finding the time to breathe, relax and slow down enough to listen within, even if you only have five minutes. That five minutes could possibly change your whole day, it can be that miracle to having more peace and calm in your mind and heart. With more peace, you can share more unconditional love to all around you.

Inner peace is a key component to spiritual growth and spiritual healing. So how do we get there? I have found three tools that have pushed me beyond any idea I may have had towards achieving more peace in my life.

#1 Learn to Meditate
Meditation clears your mind of the incessant ego chatter and allows peace to enter. If you are a beginner, look for guided meditations to help you get started since they will help you focus. There are numerous meditation CD’s which can assist and support you. I suggest meditation CD’s where the music is even in tone, no ups and downs so that you do not get distracted. Relaxation is the major component in achieving a deep meditation and attaining inner peace. I have found a very helpful tool, which, helps you intensify focus and relaxation during meditation, they are called Egyptian Healing Rods, look for the Kont Rods.

#2 Find Spiritual Classes
Look for experiential classes the will help you expand your spiritual awakening at your own pace. Whether you prefer individual classes or a group setting either way healing will take place as you look at life in a new and joyous way. Surrounded by unconditional love and support it will be comfortable to go within and find inner peace. Spiritual growth and healing will naturally come as peace fills your mind and heart. I have experienced tremendous growth by taking experiential classes and implementing the learning’s into my daily life so much more so than reading on my own.

#3 Work with a Spiritual Counselor
I highly support one-on-one work where you as the participant are doing the work and not the facilitator and that is why I recommend Accessing Inner Wisdom Counseling. We all have our own inner wisdom which when accessed will provide all the spiritual guidance, growth and healing we all desire. This is a very powerful process as your issues or problems are seen for what they truly are – no-thing – and you are seen for who you truly are pure love. Peace surrounds you as you can see your life anew.

Take the time for you, find peace within and choose to see things in a new light and your day will change. Your spiritual growth will expand each time you heal a limited view of your self. Feel how empowering it is to take that first step with a class or counselor. As you get a foothold combine two or three of these tools. You will love finding the real you.

Good Life to One and All

April 8th, 2008 . by admin

When we acknowledge that every thing on our planet has its own energy and spirit, we have the opportunity to begin acting from that knowledge. Rather than thinking of rocks, fallen leaves, antiques and even new furnishings as inanimate objects, we can remember that these items carry the energy of their past and their surroundings into the present moment with messages for us. Just as we are molecules in motion, so are all things in the material world. Working in harmony with the universe means acknowledging that we are the same as the land and the stars, that we are all connected, and that we are all in a state of Being and Be-coming.

It may not be so obvious for us to behave with respect, express permission and gratitude of an overacting spirit before we enter a sacred place, or set foot upon some place with a history that makes us deeply aware of its existence. (You may have been to a place and a sense of peace came over you or tears came or you began laughing for no apparent reason or you’ve gotten what we call chill bumps or you became very uneasy) Read the rest of this entry »

Love IS the Life Force!

January 2nd, 2008 . by pjbou

“My dwelling place is love. It’s home is the heart. It reaches to all corners of the Universe and comes right back to live in you. It deems the impossible. It sanctifies the improbable. It performs the miraculous. It feeds all souls. My love encompasses every atom of space – it soars in between the atoms of quantum theory. It fuels all sources of energy. It lives in each breath. It creates anew at each second. My love forgives all weaknesses, all harmful ways. It understands the fall from Spirit with compassion.

“My love knows no boundaries yet is in all the limits of time and space. It fills the entire Cosmos and creates more love. This love can be yours, yours for the asking. Read the rest of this entry »

Listening To The Inner Voice

December 26th, 2007 . by pjbou

What does it mean to listen?”

Most people have heard of “the still small voice” but perhaps never related it to a voice that is heard all the time. We hear this voice through hunches and gut feelings. We hear it through flashes of insight and intuition. In the East its known as “The Adjuster of Perception” and some call it “The Holy Spirit” or “The Comforter”. It matters not what you call it. Everyone, at some time or another has heard a voice or got a feeling that felt like or was interpreted as instruction of some kind.

These feelings, when looked at “after the fact” are called “hindsight”. There is a saying that describes this instruction when it has not been followed. Its goes this way, “Hindsight is 20/20″. This means that the feelings or instructions we got are never wrong. This is the truth. Read the rest of this entry »

Practical Spirituality – Finding a New Source of Power

December 25th, 2007 . by pjbou

Today there is a powerful spirituality movement.  When I say spirituality I am not speaking of religion; I am speaking of something different–a connection with the Divine.  This connection is what many mystics call “union with God.”  Sometimes this happens through a religious path, but not often.  When it does the person who achieves divine union usually finds herself on the outside looking in.

One time a minister in a somewhat interfaith organization told me that the spiritual ministers usually didn’t make it as successful ministers.  That statement and the truth of it says something in itself, I think.  Spirituality is not a good thing when it comes to maintaining buildings or systems, which are basically the little units of power that everyone needs in order to be able to function in a power-over society.  Spiritual people draw on another source of power that is shared by everyone and everything. Spirituality and Business – 3 Powerful Tips For Unleashing Your Intuition

December 24th, 2007 . by pjbou

If you really want to know “the secret,” access your business creativity and live your Life Purpose, there’s one jewel in your treasure chest you must dig out, polish up and wear proudly – the gem is your intuition. Without it, you are likely to be confused and looking to others for your own answers.

Now, that being said, it’s perfectly good and necessary to seek out spirituality and business knowledge from others. However, there is a difference between being a workshop junkie and being a truth seeker. The workshop junkie looks for the next quick fix of temporary, adrenaline-induced inspiration (quick to wear off), while the truth seeker looks within and asks, “Hey you, what do you really want to study and learn about next?” She then finds her next step – whether it be a new relationship, an enlightening book, a tele-class or a workshop (wisdom lasts a lifetime). Essence And Manifestation

December 17th, 2007 . by pjbou

Essence is the totality of who you are – the one – just as it is right here right now. Immutable; changeless; timeless; spaceless; depthless; completely independent of all arisings; block of rocklike solidity; infinite darkness; indescribable – none of these descriptions come anywhere near to what it is like – they fall abysmally short of the mark, and your interpretations of these descriptions does not even come close to these “pointers”.

There is no possibility whatsoever of being told of how exquisitely rich this one is, that who you are is. You are going to have to experience this for yourself. You are going to have to travel the “journey of self discovery” yourself.

You can be this essence because who you are is this essence. Read the rest of this entry »

Spiritual Awakenings – Women in the New Age

December 17th, 2007 . by pjbou

With “Eat, Pray, Love,” by Elizabeth Gilbert, topping the New York Times Best Seller List, and “The Secret” still creating a sensation around the country, there’s little doubt that women are on an individual and collective journey to discern their life’s purpose and awaken their spirituality. Although women continue to believe and participate in traditional religious practices, it’s clear that many women are seeking tools that help them define themselves and inspire them to live the best life possible.

New Age or a Certain Age?

While about 20 percent of women identify with one or more elements of the New Age movement, a much higher percentage are on metaphysical quests – even though they might not define them as such. If you were to break down the demographics, the pattern that emerges is a snapshot of a woman over 40 who has spent most of her life excelling in her career, taking care of her husband and children, or both. It seems as though women of a certain age begin to question their assumptions about their lives, reflecting upon careers spent trying to get ahead and caregiving roles that might not fit as comfortably as they once did.

Taking Stock and Stepping Out

What triggers women to step outside of their lives and critically assess where they’ve been and where they’re going? Perhaps, like Gilbert, they are coming out of a divorce and trying to build a new life. Maybe their children are all in college or married, and they need to redefine themselves. It could be that a parent has died, and they are faced with their own mortality. Rather than the hackneyed “mid-life crisis,” these women are experiencing a “mid-life assessment.” They might have a deeper understanding of who they are, their dreams may have come more clearly into focus, and perhaps they are better able to articulate their priorities. Above all, they are open to utilizing all available tools to help them both achieve their goals and achieve inner peace. Read the rest of this entry »
